Role Overview
Job Title: Creative Strategist

About the Role:
We’re looking for a whip smart creative strategist to help guide our reader facing copy. This role sits at the intersection of Marketing, Editorial, and Revenue — you’ll be charged with ensuring that all non-editorial content that reaches our readers eyes aligns with our engaging and knowing voice.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with our freelance copywriters to set and uphold the standard for sponsor ad creative on each of our newsletters, actively refining messaging so every campaign is clear, compelling, and aligned with our brand.
- Participate in discussions with clients to ensure campaigns align with their goals, while actively providing suggestions on how to optimize performance (landing page suggestions, angles based on current events, etc.)
- Work with our marketing team on copywriting for audience development ads for all of our media properties on paid social (linkedin, instagram) promotions.
- Write engaging copy for “openers” for Q&A sponsorships.
- Work with the account management team on engaging copy to promote various collateral and downloadables including webinars, live online events, and research.
Qualifications
- Strongly Preferred: Knowledge of financial services ecosystem, ETFs, and world of financial advisors.
Required Skills:
- Preferred: Knowledge and understanding of editorial-first newsletter products.
- Strong creative mindset — you know how to be witty and engaging, but also smart and knowing, at the same time.
- Ability to give clear creative feedback and direction. You are also not afraid of stepping in to punch something up.
